Brief history of Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark

Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark opened alongside Atlantis, The Palm in 2008, quickly becoming one of Dubai's most iconic attractions. In 2021, the park underwent its biggest expansion, increasing in size by almost one-third with the addition of Trident Tower, Splashers Lagoon, and Splashers Cove. The expansion helped Aquaventure earn the Guinness World Record for the most waterslides in a waterpark, cementing its reputation as the world's largest waterpark.

Today, Aquaventure welcomes millions of visitors annually and remains one of Dubai's top destinations for families, thrill-seekers, and water sports enthusiasts.

Architecture & design

Spanning approximately 22.5 hectares, Atlantis Aquaventure is inspired by the mythical city of Atlantis, blending towering temple-inspired structures with tropical landscaping, lagoons, rivers, waterfalls, and private beachfront.

The park is divided into several themed areas, including Trident Tower, Neptune Tower, Poseidon Tower, family splash zones, and interconnected rivers that allow guests to float between attractions. The combination of dramatic architecture, lush gardens, and oceanfront views creates an immersive resort-style experience unlike a conventional waterpark.
