Quick overview

  • Ways to explore: Dubai Frame is a self-guided experience. You'll walk through three multimedia galleries at your own pace and step out onto the glass sky bridge 150 metres above the city. Add an English audio guide for narrated context through each gallery zone.
  • Combo options: Pair Dubai Frame with Miracle Garden, Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, Museum of the Future, AYA Universe, The View at The Palm, Burj Khalifa, a Hop-on Hop-off Bus Tour with Dhow Cruise, or a desert safari, and save up to 42% compared to booking separately.
  • Unique experiences: The Desert Safari + Dubai Frame combo is the most distinct pairing, combining dune bashing, a Bedouin camp BBQ dinner, and live entertainment with your Frame entry. The Hop-on Hop-off Bus Tour with Dhow Cruise + Dubai Frame combo covers 20+ city stops plus a traditional creek cruise, making it the best option for first-time visitors covering Dubai broadly.
  • Queues & access: Pre-booked tickets skip on-site purchase lines but still require security checks and elevator queues during busy periods.
  • When to book: Reserve ahead during peak seasons and weekends to secure your preferred time slot.
  • Good to know: Tickets are single entry, timed, and usually offer free cancellation within the specified window.
  • Best upgrade: The entry ticket with a meal voucher is a wonderful upgrade, allowing you to get 70% off on cafe prices for a delicious meal inside the Dubai Frame.

Arrive at Zabeel Park and approach Gate 4

The Dubai Frame rises before you — a 150-metre rectangular steel structure sheathed in glass and gold, sitting at the edge of Zabeel Park. The scale is striking even from the ground. Pass through security and collect your ticket before stepping inside.

Begin in the Old Dubai Gallery

The ground floor museum takes you back to Dubai's origins as a fishing and pearl-diving village. Multimedia exhibits use archival photographs, dioramas, and interactive displays to trace the city's cultural roots with the traditional souks, the wind-tower architecture of Al Fahidi, and the rhythms of life along Dubai Creek before the oil era.

Move through to the Present Dubai and Future Dubai galleries

The Present Gallery charts Dubai's transformation into a metropolis through 3D models, timelines, and interactive screens spotlighting landmarks like Burj Khalifa, the Palm Jumeirah, and Dubai Mall. The Future Gallery shifts into speculation: AI, sustainability, smart city systems, and Dubai's long-term urban vision are presented through augmented reality and immersive installations.

Take the panoramic elevator to the sky bridge

The elevator ride to the top takes under a minute. Step out onto the enclosed sky bridge at 150 metres and look south: the towers of Sheikh Zayed Road and Downtown Dubai fill the frame. Turn north: the low-rise neighbourhoods of Karama, Bur Dubai, and Umm Hurair spread out in sand-coloured grids, with Dubai Creek shimmering beyond.

Walk across the glass-floor bridge

The 100-metre walkway connecting the two towers of the Frame has a transparent glass floor section in the centre. The city is directly below your feet. It is not especially harrowing, but the sensation of standing above open air above a busy urban district is a memorable one.

Allow 45 minutes to 1.5 hours total

The galleries can be explored at a comfortable pace in around 30–45 minutes. The sky bridge and its views account for another 15–30 minutes depending on how long you choose to linger. The on-site café on the observation level is a convenient spot for a coffee before heading down.

Things to know before booking your Dubai Frame tickets

Booking window

  • Standard Dubai Frame tickets are available at the gate, but buying online in advance skips the ticket counter queue and is generally quicker.
  • There are no fixed time slots for Dubai Frame itself and entry is flexible during operating hours.
  • Advance online booking is recommended during peak seasons (November–March) when demand is high, even though last-minute slots are common on quieter weekdays.
  • If you are booking a combo that includes a timed venue (such as the Museum of the Future), you will need to select and honour a specific time slot for that attraction.

Entry & access

  • Dubai Frame has one entrance: Gate 4 on Al Wasl Road, Zabeel Park.
  • All visitors go through a standard security screening at this gate and there is no option to bypass it.
  • Groups are capped at 5 members per entry. Large bags and strollers cannot be brought inside and must be deposited at the Gate 4 counter before you enter.

What’s included

  • All Dubai Frame tickets cover the full museum experience across the ground floor (Old, Present, and Future Dubai galleries) and access to the sky bridge observation deck at 150 metres, including the glass-floor walkway.
  • No areas of the Dubai Frame require an upgrade or add-on as the full experience is included in the base ticket.

Upgrades

  • Audio guide: An optional English audio guide is available via the Headout app when you select the relevant ticket option. Download the app, log in with your booking email, and access the guide through the Audio Guide section in your account before you arrive.
  • Meal voucher: The meal voucher option is redeemable at Low Battery Cafe and is not applicable for children aged 3 and under. It offers up to 70% off on cafe prices (selected menu combos).

Policies

  • Children under 3 enter Dubai Frame free. Children aged 3–12 receive a discounted rate.
  • People of determination and two companions enter free. The attraction is wheelchair accessible, with elevators connecting all levels.
  • All tickets across this assortment are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
  • The ticket grants a one-time entry; once you exit, re-entry is not permitted on the same visit.
  • While Dubai Frame does not enforce a strict dress code, modest clothing covering shoulders and knees is advised, and large bags or strollers must be deposited as per on-site rules.

Access: Yes (included with all tickets)

Future Dubai Gallery

Location: Ground floor, north tower

A forward-looking installation covering smart city planning, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and Dubai's 2040 Urban Master Plan. AR and VR elements allow visitors to interact with speculative city models and future infrastructure concepts.

Sky Bridge & Glass-Floor Walkway

Location: Top of the Frame, 150 metres above ground

The centrepiece of the Dubai Frame experience. The enclosed sky bridge spans 100 metres between the two towers at the top. Tips & guidelines

  • Arrive early for the best sky bridge experience. Before 10am on weekdays, the bridge is noticeably quieter and photography is easier without crowds. Midday on weekends is the busiest period.
  • The glass-floor section starts in the middle of the bridge. If you're visiting with children who might be nervous, prepare them in advance — the rest of the walkway has solid flooring and is not alarming.
  • The café on the sky bridge level can sell out of popular items. If you've booked a meal voucher, check the menu in advance and arrive knowing what you'd like to order.
  • Dress modestly. Dubai Frame is a public attraction in the UAE. Long trousers, covered shoulders, and conservative clothing are recommended. This applies to visitors of all genders.
  • Network reception is available on the sky bridge. Download the audio guide via the Headout app before you arrive if you've selected that option — connectivity at the attraction is generally reliable but downloading in advance is safer.
  • Photography is permitted throughout. Flash photography is not restricted at Dubai Frame. Tripods are not recommended given the space constraints on the bridge. Drone photography is not permitted within Zabeel Park.
  • Rules to follow: No food or beverages outside the café zone. No smoking anywhere on the premises. Do not lean over or climb railings. Do not touch or remove exhibition items. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Groups are limited to 5 per entry.
