LEGOLAND Water Park Dubai is a compact, LEGO-themed water park inside Dubai Parks and Resorts, located in Jebel Ali on Sheikh Zayed Road. It's the only water park in the UAE designed exclusively for families with children aged 2–12.

The park has 20+ water slides and attractions spread across a single-level outdoor footprint. Rides are calibrated for younger children: gentler slides, shallow wave pools, and height thresholds starting from 91 cm. You won't find the 30-meter free-fall drops of Aquaventure here. What you will find: near-zero queues, a relaxed pace, and the signature Build-A-Raft River, the only attraction of its kind at any Dubai water park, where your family builds a raft from oversized soft LEGO bricks and floats downstream together.

A typical family visit lasts 3–5 hours, with the Water Park alone. Add the adjacent LEGOLAND Theme Park (combo ticket) and plan a full day of 6–8 hours.

Plan your visit to Legoland Water Park Dubai

Getting there

  • The park sits roughly 40 km from Dubai Marina and 45 km from Downtown Dubai.
  • The easiest option for tourists without a rental car: the free shuttle, included with a valid park ticket. Pickup points cover Deira, Bur Dubai, Downtown Dubai, Barsha, and The Palm.
  • By car, take Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) and exit at Exit 5, signposted "Dubai Parks." General parking is free. From the car park, follow the walkway through Riverland Dubai to the LEGOLAND gates; allow 10–12 minutes on foot.
  • By RTA bus, take the service from Ibn Battuta Metro Station (Red Line) to the Dubai Parks bus stop (26 daily trips, 7am–11:15pm), then walk through Riverland.

Timing

  • Arrive at 10am when the park opens. Note that some slides don't begin operating until 30–60 minutes after opening.
  • Use the first hour for the wave pool and Build-A-Raft River, both of which open on time.
  • The 10am–12pm window has the lowest crowds on any day of the week.
  • For the lowest-crowd visit overall, come on a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Fridays, Saturdays, UAE public holidays, and school breaks are the busiest periods.

What to do at Legoland Water Park Dubai

For all ages

  • The DUPLO Splash Safari is a shallow toddler zone with four oversized DUPLO animal figures and gentle mini-slides, one of the very few Dubai water attractions that meaningfully serves children under 3.
  • Beside it, the DUPLO Wave Pool has very gentle ripples designed for a toddler's first water experience.
  • The LEGO Wave Pool runs periodic waves suitable for all ages and is shallower and calmer than the wave pools at Aquaventure.
  • The Build-A-Raft River is the park's most talked-about attraction: families build a raft from oversized soft LEGO bricks, then float roughly 300 metres through LEGO jungle scenes. There is no equivalent at any other Dubai water park.
  • Build-A-Boat is a dry hands-on station where children design and test LEGO boats in water channels — good for a break between slides.

With height minimums

  • 91 cm and above: The Joker Soaker is a multi-level interactive playground with water cannons, small slides, and a 300-gallon tipping bucket. Children under 91 cm can access the ground-level splash zone with an adult.
  • 102 cm and above: Tidal Tube is an enclosed dark tube slide with twists before a pool exit. Wave Rider is an open body slide ending in a wave-filled wading pool, shorter and gentler than Splash Out. Splash Out is the park's tallest slide: a 60-foot (18-metre) near-vertical body slide, single-rider only, with a maximum weight of 136 kg.
  • 107 cm and above: Red Rush is the park's most thrilling family ride, a four-person raft down a 312-foot curving track on an 11-foot half-pipe. LEGO Slide Racers has six lanes for head-first mat racing, with a competitive edge that appeals to children aged 6–12. Twist 'N' Spin is an open double-tube slide for pairs with a spinning descent, popular with parent-child combinations.
  • 122 cm and above: Splash 'N' Swirl is a tube slide with twists and a splash-zone finish. It has the highest height requirement in the park, typically accessible to children aged 7–8 and above.

A note for families with toddlers

If your child is under 91 cm, five of the park's 14 attractions are accessible: DUPLO Splash Safari, DUPLO Wave Pool, LEGO Wave Pool, Build-A-Raft River (with an accompanying adult), and Build-A-Boat. Most families with children exclusively under 91 cm find 2–3 hours is enough. This is worth knowing before booking.

History of LEGOLAND Water Park Dubai in a nutshell

LEGOLAND Dubai opened in 2016 as part of the Dubai Parks and Resorts complex developed by Meraas, one of the largest theme park developments in the Middle East. The Water Park opened alongside the Theme Park as a dedicated water attraction for the same core demographic, families with younger children, rather than as a thrill-focused competitor to Aquaventure or Wild Wadi.

The LEGO brand's licensing framework shaped the park's design philosophy: every attraction links directly to LEGO or DUPLO play systems, from the Build-A-Raft River's oversized soft bricks to the Joker Soaker's LEGO-character theme. This keeps the park focused on creative, age-appropriate play rather than the volume-of-rides model used by larger parks.

Additional information about LEGOLAND Water Park Dubai

Food and drink

Outside food and drinks are not permitted, except baby food and medically required items (doctor's report required at the gate). Three outlets operate inside the Water Park. Waves Bistro serves burgers, wraps, and salads, with main courses around AED 25–45. Bricks Bites focuses on pizza — a family meal deal of two pizzas and four drinks is available for AED 99. Waterside Snacks offers quick bites including shawarma, wraps, and nachos from AED 15–38. All outlets are Halal-certified and offer vegan and vegetarian options. If you step into Riverland Dubai (which requires no re-entry ticket), T-Rex Adventure Cafe, Artisan Crust Pizza, and Starbucks are a 5-minute walk from the Water Park gate.

Accessibility

All shops and restaurants within LEGOLAND Water Park are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair access to most attractions is via Q-Fast entrance ramps. Most water slides require guests to climb stairs independently and transfer themselves into the ride — a "responsible helper" is required for guests who need assistance with transfers. Hard casts and immobilising leg braces are not permitted on any ride. Guests with non-visible disabilities can request a Ride Access Pass from Guest Services, which provides priority entry via the Q-Fast entrance. Families with specific accessibility requirements are strongly advised to contact before booking.

Pregnancy

Pregnant visitors may only access Build-A-Raft River, Build-A-Boat, and DUPLO Splash Safari (Animal Pool). All other attractions are off-limits.

Winter water temperature

No official information is available on whether the park heats its pools. Multiple visitor reviews from December to February report the water feeling cold, particularly in the wave pools. If visiting between December and February, bring rash guards for children and plan for shorter water sessions.

Photography

Personal phones and GoPro-style cameras are permitted throughout the park. Professional cameras (DSLRs, cinema rigs) require prior approval. Contact the park before visiting if needed.
