Brief history of KidZania Dubai

KidZania Dubai opened in 2010 as one of the first KidZania locations in the Middle East. It is part of the globally recognised KidZania network, which began in Mexico City in 1999 with the vision of creating a realistic city where children could learn by doing.

Since opening, KidZania Dubai has become one of the city's leading family attractions, welcoming millions of young visitors while continually updating its activities to reflect modern professions and technologies.

Architecture & design

KidZania Dubai spans approximately 7,000 square metres and recreates a bustling city designed entirely from a child's perspective. Every street, building, vehicle, and workplace is scaled to suit children, making them feel like independent citizens in their own world.

The attraction features realistic architecture inspired by modern urban environments, complete with hospitals, banks, supermarkets, television studios, airports, construction sites, restaurants, and emergency service centres.
